NVIDIA has been left without RTX 4060 or RTX 4060 Ti (temporarily)

We have been talking for weeks about the launch of the next generation of graphics cards from NVIDIAof which we have little more than rumors. Reportedly, it appears that currently does not distribute graphics RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 among the company’s partners. Apparently, this supply interruption has nothing to do with production problems.

As you well know, we have been leaking different data regarding the RTX 50 Series for weeks. More specifically, data has been released on the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 that would be launched on the market, most likely, during the month of November.

This is a strategy repeated year after year by the company, first launching the high-end and then the cheaper models. Everything indicates that during CES 2025, which is held during the second week of January in Las Vegas, the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 will be presented.

NVIDIA no longer sends RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060

You should know that these two graphics cards are the most popular among video game fans. They are models that offer very good performance in 1080p resolutionbeing able to move any game on the market. Additionally, they offer support for DLSS and RayTracing technologies, basics today to get a great gaming experience.

According to information coming from China, it seems that NVIDIA has stopped the supply of both models. Apparently, the supply will be stopped for two weeks.

They report that this decision to stop distributing graphics cards has nothing to do with production problems. It seems that the suspension of supply to its partners is due to an inventory correction measure, without more.

Both the RTX 4060 Ti and the RTX 4060 use GDDR6 memory. You probably already know that there is currently a certain shortage of GDDR6X memory. A factor that has led to the launch of an RTX 4070 that uses GDDR6 memories.

You should not currently see a price increase on the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 models. There is currently a large amount of stock in retail stores, so you should not notice a change in price. It is simply a normal process within supply to make stock corrections.

This is usually given time before the launch of a new generation of graphics cards. Supply is reduced or suspended occasionally to dispose of existing stock. When a new generation is launched, models from the previous product range usually slow down in sales and have worse sales.

This movement fits us quite well in the event of a possible launch of a hypothetical RTX 5060 during February-March 2025. It would be a preliminary phase of reducing existing stock before the launch of the new products. Then, carrying out this process implies large discounts on the graphics to be able to sell them.

Finally, it should be noted that the RTX 4060 is currently the second most popular graphics card on Steam. The third position is occupied by the laptop variant and the fourth position is for the RTX 4060 Ti. Note that the first position is currently occupied by the RTX 3060.
