TeamGroup gets on the bandwagon of high-performance CUDIMM DDR5 RAM

Since the arrival of the Intel Core Ultra 200 and the Intel Z890 platform, RAM manufacturers are rushing to launch their RAM kits compatible with CUDIMMthe new standard for DDR5 which allows for higher operating speeds, and a manufacturer like TeamGroup It couldn’t be less, so they have released their new memoirs XTREEM CKDready to offer the high performance expected from this platform.

As we have already explained to you previously, CUDIMM memories are, in short, RAM that incorporates an additional IC to improve stability, which allows higher operating speeds. But fear not, they are fully compatible with all current DDR5 platforms, so you don’t actually need to have one of the latest Intel processors for them to work: they are compatible with older platforms and AMD without problems.

The TeamGroup XTREEM CKD CUDIMM arrives

TeamGroup has created these new RAM memories in collaboration with the main motherboard manufacturers, thus guaranteeing maximum compatibility. TeamGroup’s T-FORCE XTREEM CKD DDR5 are designed to offer speeds of up to 9,600 MHzbut be careful that the manufacturer warns that these speeds can only be achieved if two memory modules are used, since they must be synchronized. This is not a problem, since currently all Intel and AMD platforms use dual-channel memory and that means that the RAM modules go in pairs.

They have a medium-sized aluminum heatsink that is 2 mm thick, without RGB, and with high-conductivity thermal pads to ensure low-temperature operation. According to the manufacturer, this heatsink improves heat dissipation by up to 10% compared to traditional heatsinks, so it’s not bad at all. They are manufactured with CNC cutting technology and have a matte sandblasted finish with anodized black, so their aesthetic is sober and almost minimalist.

But the most important thing about these RAMs is the inclusion of the IC chip to offer greater stability at high speeds (this is the fundamental characteristic of CUDIMM, as we have explained before). This chip also manages energy, guaranteeing stable consumption, but they also support ECC on the chip for error detection and correction, making them even more stable whether at high or low speed.

TeamGroup engineers have also demonstrated excellent overclocking capacity, raising modules that operate at 8,200 MHz from the factory to impressive levels. 10.664MHz with complete ease and without the need to use L2N refrigeration.

Overclock TeamGroup

Initially, TeamGroup will sell these RAMs in 48GB (2x24GB) kits at speeds of 9,600 MHz, but we can expect them to hit stores soon in other combinations of capacities and speeds. Furthermore, although they have not officially announced their price, if you know this manufacturer you will already imagine that they will be at the bottom of the table, that is, TeamGroup usually sells their memory kits at quite reasonable prices.
