As planned, Intel has presented its new generation of graphics, the second specifically, with which the company that until yesterday was directed by Pat Gelsinger, wants to gain a foothold in the mid-range market, graphics that we already knew Virtually everything Intel has confirmed in its presentation.
The second generation of NVIDIA graphics is made up of the Intel Arc B580 and the Intel Arc B570two graphics cards that use Intel’s Xe2 Battlemage architecture and that, on paper, offer greater performance compared to Xe Alchemist used in the first and reviled first generation.
Intel Arc B Series
The Intel Arc B580 offers a completely redesigned design compared to the previous generation, allowing for quieter operation.
In the absence of performance tests, it is perfect for playing games at 1440p in ultra quality with and without ray tracing thanks to the 12 GB of memory, since it is double the memory that incorporates its most direct competition on the market such as the NVIDIA RTX 4060 and the AMD RX 7600.
Based on tests on more than 40 titles, the Intel Arc B580 is capable of delivering 60 FPS performance without problems. Plus, it’s 24% faster than the Intel Arc 750 thanks to the newXe2 architecture which improves rendering and ray tracing offering 70% more performance per core than the first generation and 50% more performance per w.
Both models, as had been leaked the day before, have a single 8-pin connector and incorporate connectors DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1.
Intel Arc B580
The Intel Arc B580 features Xe2 HPG architecture, 20 of 233 TOPS for Artificial Intelligence tasks and has a TBP of 190W.
Intel Arc B570
As for the Intel Arc B570, it has a slightly lower configuration and shares the same TSMC N4 architecture and manufacturing process. It has a total of 18 Xe cores, 18 ray tracing units, 10 GB of GDDR memory, a 160-bit memory interface with a bandwidth of 380 GB/S. It offers up to 203 TOPS for AI and has a TBP of 150W.
Price and availability
Some sources suggested that shortly after their presentation, the new Intel Arc would hit the market. The market arrival of the Intel Arc B580 is scheduled for December 13 (confirming the rumors that pointed in that direction) and will do so for $249.
For the launch of the B570, we will have to wait for the next January 26 and will have a price of $219. At the moment, only the price in dollars has been announced, so we will have to wait a few days to see the change to euros.
The manufacturers that have committed to Intel to launch these graphics, in addition to ASRok, are Acer, MAXSUN, Sparkle, Acer and Onix.
