This new range of processors, which is initially made up of 14 models, although for now the company will initially present 5 models to, at the beginning of 2025, launch the rest, probably within the framework of the CES that is held every year in Las Vegas and in which NVIDIA will present the new range of RTX 50 graphics with the RTX5090 and the RTX 5080.
The five models that Intel will announce in the next few hours are:
- Intel Core Ultra 9 285K
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265K
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265 KF
- Intel Core Ultra 5 245K
- Intel Core Ultra 5 245 KS
The question that many users ask is what will be the price? The answer to this question is shown below.
Prices of the Intel Core Ultra 200 range
Once again, this is not official information, information that we will probably know in a few hours when Intel officially presents this new range of desktop processors.
This information comes from the X (Twitter) user @OneRaichu and published by Computer Base, it is shown in dollars without taxes and will be as follows:
- Intel Core Ultra 9 285K with 24 cores (8P at 3.7 GHz + 14E at 3.2 GHz) by $589.
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265K with 20 cores (8P + 12E both at 3.9 GHz) by $394.
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265K with 20 cores (8P + 12E both at 3.9 GHz) by $379.
- Intel Core Ultra 5 245K with 14 cores (6P at 4.2 GHz and 8E at 3.6 GHz) by $309.
- Intel Core Ultra 5 245KF with 14 cores (6P at 4.2 GHz and 8E at 3.6 GHz) by 294 dollars.
Yeah we add VAT of 21% in Spain and assuming that Intel respects the base price without taxes in euros, the new range of Intel Core Ultra 200 processors for desktop computers will hit the market with an MSRP of:
- Intel Core Ultra 9 285K – 650 euros.
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265K – 435 euros.
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF – 418 euros.
- Intel Core Ultra 5 245K – 341 euros.
- Intel Core Ultra 5 245KS – 323 euros.
However, it is most likely that the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K will hit the market at the same price as the Intel Core i9-14900K did: $599 in the United States and 699 euros in Europeso the prices indicated in the table above will be higher, although not by much.
The different performance tests that have been leaked so far place the Intel Core 285K above the Intel Core i9-14900K in terms of performance with lower consumption, thus confirming that this new range will offer better performance with lower energy consumption.
With the new processors Ryzen Series 9000 on the market, with a performance very similar to the new Intel processors, the next movement is on the roof of AMD with the Ryzen Series 9000X3D
